Dr. Jayson Tappan is an Emergency Medicine Physician and the Medical Director of the Emergency Department at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Prior to working at SRMC, he was a Marine and Navy veteran; where he was a Flight Surgeon for the US Marines and Emergency Medicine Physician for the US Navy for over a decade. He received his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and has been in practice between 19 years.

Dr. Tappan delivers an in-depth personalized approach to providing overall patient care. Along with his extensive years of experience, he has dedicated himself to not only emergency medicine but to preventative medicine to better his patients before the emergencies. He does this to the best of his ability through his understanding of the ever revolving world of medicine as well as staying on top of the latest medicine available for his patients.

Dr. Tappan understands medicine is more than disease management after a patient has become ill, but rather to provide his patients the right tools to prevent the illnesses from occurring.
