Shelley Loomstein, PA-C

Shelley Loomstein has worked in the Dallas area as a Certified Physician Assistant in family medicine private practice for more than 10 years. She is currently working under the direction of Dr. Sander Gothard and, as a physician assistant, Shelley is licensed to diagnose, examine and treat patients. Like Dr. Gothard, she empowers and encourages patients to live a healthy and active lifestyle.

Shelley is passionate about preventative healthcare and enjoys helping her patients improve their health and take steps to avoid preventable disease. She is also an advocate for yearly checkups and reminds patients of the important role they play in disease prevention.

As a Plano native, Shelley graduated from Plano Senior High School. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Austin and earned her Physician Assistant degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.

Shelley resides in Plano with her husband, James, and their two children. As a family, they enjoy playing at the park with their dog, Riley, and spending time in the backyard playing soccer. Shelley is an active runner and annual participant in the Dallas Rock N’ Roll Marathon.

Lindsay Osborn, NP-C

Lindsay Osborn firmly believes in a healthy and active lifestyle and has a passion for advocating physical fitness. Her commitment to her patients coupled with her desire to support families and children lead healthy lives enabled her to become a successful nurse practitioner. She is currently working under the direction of Dr. Christopher Crow, Dr. Liane Kibel and Dr. Abel Garduño.

At Village Health Partners, Lindsay lives her personal and professional philosophy to provide superior patient care. She takes the time to educate her patients and make sure they have all of the information and resources to lead better lives. Lindsay has a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Florida State University. She earned a Master of Science in nursing from the Texas Woman’s University family nurse practitioner program. She is a member of the North Texas Nurse Practitioners and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

Originally from Pensacola, Florida, Lindsay now resides in Plano where she has lived for more than a decade. She and her husband have two girls, ages six and nine. She is an avid runner and participates in several local races each year. She is actively involved with her children’s school and extracurricular activities, and enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

Madhavi Ampajwala, MD

For Dr. Madhavi Ampajwala, family medicine provides the opportunity to build strong doctor-patient relationships by offering personalized care to her patients and their families. She specializes in pediatrics and adolescents, menopause, and women’s health issues but enjoys getting to know and treat the whole family.

She received her M.D. in family practice at NH-Dartmouth Family Practice Residency in Concord, New Hampshire. At Dartmouth, she was recognized as “Best Teacher” by the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine for her efforts to educate her fellow residents, students and patients. In addition, Dr. Ampajwala received a Bachelor in Medicine and a Bachelor in Surgery from Kakatiya Medical College in South India.

Dr. Ampajwala has been designated as a civil surgeon by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, which means she is authorized to perform medical examinations for alien applicants applying for permanent resident status, such as those applying for green cards.

Lisa Price, FNP-C

Lisa Price is a Certified Nurse Practitioner and a member of Sigma Theta Tau National Honors Society and Golden Key International Honor Society. She received her Associate degree in Nursing from Brookhaven College and a Master of Science degree in Nursing from Texas A&M Corpus Christi. With over twenty-four years in the medical industry, Lisa is looking forward to joining Village Health Partners award-winning medical team.

Before joining Village Health Partners, Lisa worked as a registered nurse at The Medical Center of Plano in the Labor and Delivery unit. Lisa has special interests in health promotion, preventative care, and disease management. She firmly believes in preventative healthcare maintenance and encourages her patients to schedule yearly wellness exams, manage weight and blood pressure levels. Lynn Gross, FNP

As a certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C), Lynn Gross is passionate about serving the health needs of her community. In her approach to treating patients, Lynn enjoys implementing individualized preventative measures in line with a healthy lifestyle. She stresses the importance of annual physicals as a valuable indicator of overall well-being and to help avoid potential long-term health problems. Lynn received her Bachelor””s of Science from the University of Texas at Austin and earned her Master””s Degree in Nursing and FNP from Texas A&M Corpus Christi. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Before becoming a NP, Lynn was a labor and delivery nurse for ten years. She has diverse experience in a range of healthcare services centered on the family and is passionate about preventative care and women’s health. To lead a healthy lifestyle, she recommends regular exercise and making smart food decisions.

Lynn and her husband Jim live in Plano and have three children. They enjoy practicing a healthy lifestyle by spending as much time as possible outdoors and making fruit and vegetable smoothies every morning. Denise Durian, FNP-C

As a family nurse practitioner at Village Health Partners, Denise Durian is most passionate about preventive care, nutrition and exercise. She believes in properly educating her patients and helping them set realistic goals on disease prevention such as diabetes, hypertension, and obesity. She encourages her patients to keep up to date with recommended health screenings such as physicals, blood work, mammograms, and colonoscopies. She is a firm believer in staying as active as much as possible and that it’s important to find time for activities to help reduce daily stress.

Denise completed her Associate Degree in Nursing from Peninsula College in Port Angeles, Washington and then continued on for a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas at Arlington. She graduated from the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington and earned a Master of Science in Nursing Degree. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and North Texas Nurse Practitioners.

Denise’s favorite hobbies include spending time at the lake with her dog, hiking, cooking, working out, and trying new restaurants with friends and family.

Julie Hawkins, APRN, DNP

Julie Hawkins APRN, DNP is a certified Family Nurse Practioner (FNP-C), CPR. Julie has a passion for ensuring her patients’ knowledge of preventative care. She likes to empower her patients with education and guidance so that they can be informed in the decision-making process. Having worked in an ICU setting, she understands the value in treating patients aggressively with preventative care. Julie earned her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Baylor University. She was then chosen for the exclusive clinical training internship program in Critical Care and Trauma Nurse at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. The intensive program provided her critical care experience with the Parkland burn unit, surgical ICU, cardiopulmonary ICU, medical ICU and the emergency department. She then worked as a Parkland medical ICU nurse and served as a clinical mentor for the internship program. Subsequently, she completed additional postgraduate training in the TWU Family Nurse Practitioner program in Dallas, and earned board certification as an advanced practice nurse. Julie recently finished her Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) at TCU in Ft. Worth, with a focus on prediabetes early identification and treatment.

Julie is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, North Texas Nurse Practitioners, and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Julie and her husband Seth live in Carrollton, Texas, and are expecting their first baby in July of this year. Julie believes in practicing what you preach and enjoys running and working out whenever possible. She also likes spending time with her family, hiking and backpacking, and going on mission trips with her church, Prestonwood Baptist.

Liane Kibel, MD

Dr. Liane Kibel is an experienced family practice physician who believes in treating her patients as if they were her own personal family members. She takes a profound interest in her patients and sees that they receive the best possible care, treating everyone with kindness and respect. Patients value her friendly medical approach as she is a good listener and takes great joy in the accomplishment of others. Dr. Kibel is passionate about caring for and educating her patients with tools to get and stay healthy, along with providing a strong understanding of preventative measures to avoid unnecessary health concerns.

By incorporating the use of technology, electronic medical records, secure Internet access and new advances into her practice, Dr. Kibel is able to provide innovative medical care to her patients.

Dr. Kibel enjoys the traditional full-spectrum medicine inherent to family practice, particularly working with adolescents and women’s health. She is fluent in both Spanish and Portuguese and is readily accessible to all of her patients.

After completing her medical training in her native Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1991, Dr. Kibel practiced ophthalmology for several years before moving to Texas, where she successfully completed a family medicine residency in 2004 at The University of Texas – Southwestern – Austin Family Medicine Program. While completing her residency, Dr. Kibel was recognized as “Best Teacher” by the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine for her efforts to educate her fellow residents, students and patients.

Dr. Kibel had a successful practice in Austin for nearly 4 years before relocating to Dallas to join Village Health Partners in 2012. She was voted as one of D Magazine””s Best Doctors of Collin County.

In addition to caring for families at Village Health Partners, she likes to give of her time and expertise by serving as a volunteer physician. She has previously volunteered at the Dell Community Center in Austin, summer camps in Wimberley, Texas and in local Dallas Communities events. Dr. Kibel has been working with VHP for more than 2 years.

Dr. Kibel resides in Dallas with her husband and teenage daughter, where she enjoys spending time with family and friends, exercising, traveling and being involved in her community.

Shade Lester, MD

Dr. Shade Lester is board-certified in family medicine and has been caring for patients since 2002. She enjoys providing the highest level of care to patients of all ages, ranging from infants to adults. She is passionate about practicing quality-based medicine in a broad range of fields, specifically prevention and management of diabetes and other chronic diseases. She has participated in the Johnson & Johnson Diabetes Institute and is a member of the American Academy of Diabetes Educators.

Dr. Lester graduated cum laude from Howard University where she majored in microbiology. She studied medicine at Meharry Medical College and completed her residency at the University of Texas – Southwestern, where she served as chief resident.

She encourages patients to maintain positive emotional health, and believes it is a key component to good physical health. She also stresses the importance of exercise as it is a powerful tool that can improve overall health in numerous ways. She enjoys working together with her patients to help them make informed decisions and achieve their health goals.

Dr. Lester is continuously seeking opportunities to serve. She is an active deaconess and serves in the medical ministry at her church, Living Hope Bible Fellowship. Additionally, she is on the Board of Directors for Living Hope Ministries, through which she attended her first mission trip to Nigeria, the country where her parents were born. She is also on the Board of Directors for A Sister’s Gift, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the plight of women who suffer from HIV/AIDS. Dr. Lester is also a proud and active member in the Denton County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.

Dr. Lester lives in Carrollton with her husband and three children. She enjoys spending time with family, running, traveling, shopping and supporting the Dallas Cowboys.

Laura Carlson, FNP-C

Laura Carlson is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C), who has a passion to ensure that her patients are seen with the highest quality care possible. She stresses the importance of transparency between providers and patients so that all patient needs that arise, are fully addressed.

Laura received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Angelo State University and earned her Masters of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Arlington. Before becoming an NP, Laura was an RN for 8 years.

Laura’s three pieces of medical advice to her patients are to stay up to date on annual physical exams, take medicines as directed, and to never be afraid to ask questions. Laura and her husband Jonathan live in Garland TX with their two children.
