Jackie Wurtz received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing 1990. She worked in labor and delivery at Northwest Texas Hospital and for Dr. John Kellher, plastic surgeon, for 10 years before returning to West Texas A&M. Jackie received her Master in Family Medicine in December 2003. She has a diverse background from working with pediatrics for multiple years to long term care. She also worked in the ER and Urgent Care for many years. In July 2012, she opened Only Choice Urgent Care. Jackie strives to see people in a timely manner without compromising care.
Jackie has 3 children. Her oldest Cory is playing base trombone professionally. Krislyn will graduate in December with her nurse practitioner degree. Seth loves to play trumpet and he is talking about a music therapy degree.
Most importantly Jackie has 3 grandchildren- Bryson, Maverick and Jackson.
Ruth Teague is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner at Only Choice Urgent Care, Prior to completing her graduate program, Ruth’s clinical background and worked as an emergency room nurse for 20 years where she cared for Patients of all ages with a broad range of medical problems.
She obtained her MSN from the University of Alabama in 2011 with a GPA of 4.0 Ruth now enjoys providing high quality compassionate care to the clients of Only Choice Urgent Care. Her favorite pas times include reading, cooking and enjoying the great outdoors with family, friends and pets.
