John Standefer, MD

Dr. John A. Standefer has 34 years of experience and has successfully performed more than 10,000 facial cosmetic surgeries.

As the Medical Director at Fresh Image Cosmetic Surgery Center, Dr. Standefer focuses on providing patients with natural-looking results and remarkable care throughout their entire experience.

Dr. Standefer was born and raised in Hillsboro, Texas. He received his B.S. from Texas A&M University in 1974 and his MD degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in 1978. After completing his internship and residency at Bexar County Hospital, Dr. Standefer opened his practice in Duncanville in 1983 with a specialty in Otorhinolaryngology (Head & Neck Surgery).

In 1998, Dr. Standefer became passionate about helping patients look and feel their best, so he completed a second specialty in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He served as Chief of Surgery for Charlton Methodist Hospital from 1996 to 1999 and as Medical Director of Premier Surgery of Duncanville from 1988-1996. Dr. Standefer has also held various positions at Methodist Medical Center Dallas and Columbia Medical Hospital.

As one of best facial and neck cosmetic surgeons in Dallas, Dr. Standefer has written and presented numerous papers on head and neck surgery as well as facial cosmetic surgery and keeps current in both areas through continuing education courses provided by the medical societies. He has been chosen as a RealSelf Top Doctor for the past several years.

In his spare time, Dr. Standefer enjoys photography, traveling, spending time with his family and watching Texas A&M sports. At the Fresh Image office, you will see natural photographs he’s captured of landscapes throughout the years.

Taylor Siemens, NP

Taylor is a Nurse Practitioner at Fresh Image. She is board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Taylor received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Texas Tech University. After working as a nurse for several years in facial plastics, neurosurgery and radiology, she returned to Texas Woman’s University where she received her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) – Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner. She graduated cum laude from both programs. She is an active member of Texas Nurse Practitioners and American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She is also certified by BioTE in hormone replacement therapy.

Taylor assists Dr. Standefer in surgeries, as well as with pre-op and post-op appointments.

For the past three years, she has also treated patients who have concerns about their aging appearance with lasers.

Her clinical interests including anti-aging with laser technology, injectables (Botox and fillers), and bioidentical hormones.

Her favorite part of the job is patient interaction and education. She takes great pleasure in preparing her patients for what their experience will be, whether the topic of discussion is surgery, hormone optimization, laser treatments or injectables. Outside of work, Taylor’s ambition to help others doesn’t end. She enjoys volunteering in the community to help people in need
