DR. JOE ETTER, D.O. is a board certified internal medicine physician.
Dr. Etter received his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at Dallas Baptist University.
He attended medical school at the University of North Texas in Ft. Worth and finished his residency in Internal Medicine at Plaza Medical Center in Ft. Worth, Texas, where he served as chief resident in 2006.
Dr. Etter started Burleson Old Town Medical Center in August of 2006.
Specializing in chronic disease has been a mainstay in Dr. Etter””s practice. In addition to conventional approaches to diagnosis and treatment, he routinely incorporates functional and homeopathic remedies as the patient desires. Dr. Etter is committed to wellness and prevention, and strongly encourages his patients to address any nutritional deficiencies and exercise.
Dr. Etter married his high school sweetheart, Shelby, in 1995. They have two girls, Ella and Hattie.
In addition to spending time with their children, Dr. Etter and Shelby enjoy traveling, experiencing new things, and are very active in their home church.
AUSTIN BURNETT is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Austin graduated with his BSN in 2007 from Abilene Christian University and has been practicing in the Burleson area since he graduated with his Master””s from Hardin Simmons University in 2010. Prior to obtaining his advanced degree, he worked as a Registered Nurse in the ER at Hendrick Health System in Abeline, TX.
Thoughtfully caring for patients medical needs from diabetes, hypertension, minor injuries, and upper respiratory infections is something Austin is very passionate about. He has also been trained to help balance patient””s hormones using BioTe hormone replacement therapy.
Austin has been married to his wife Brittney since Feburary 2016 and they are very active in their church home. Austin enjoys hunting, cycling, and working outdoors during his time off.
STEPHANIE “PAIGE” BRISCOE NORRIS, RN, MSN, FNP-C has been with Burleson Old Town Medicine since August of 2013.
She has been a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner since 2009, and has worked in Family Practice and Urgent Care in this role.
Prior to obtaining her advanced degree, a Masters of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner Studies from Baylor University, she worked as a Registered Nurse since 2003.
Her background in Nursing includes Dialysis, Hospice, and Urgent Care.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Tarleton State University in 2000, and an Associates of Science in Nursing from Southwestern Adventist University in 2003.
She has served on medical missions with trips to the Dominican Republic, Honduras, Ethiopia, Malawi, and Romania.
She and husband, Chris, live in Cleburne with their son, Evan.
They attend StoneWater Church in Cleburne, and enjoy spending time with family.
