In addition to obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Scroggins has expanded his practice in 2014 to include bioidentical hormones in the form of Biote. This has been a life transforming treatment for many patients. In 2015, the practice was expanded to the prescribing of suboxone to help those with opiate dependence. Dr. Scroggins began this after suboxone made a major improvement in the life of a close family member.

He allows natural OB deliveries, however specializes in deliveries with minimal pain and discomfort.

Dr. Scroggins is a Dallas Cowboys and Mavs fan, as well as a fan of “The Voice”. He studies American political history and collects political Americana, especially political buttons that have been produced since 1896.

He and his daughter have attended I Love Lucy conventions, and enjoyed Elvis conventions as well. His daughter has earned her doctorate at a local university. His son-in-law, continuing the medical tradition, has completed his fellowship in Interventional Cardiology and now is practicing locally.

His son, also continuing the medical tradition, is studying pre-Veterinary Medicine in college.

The whole Scroggins family is pet lovers. They recently acquired their 4th and 5th Cocker Spaniels since Dr. Scroggins started in medical practice. His newest puppies are a brother and sister pair of parti colored cocker spaniels named Bella and Winston. Winston was named after Dr. Scroggins hero, Winston Churchill. When all the family is home for the holidays, there are twelve pets in the home for five people, which includes three dogs, four cats, and five birds.
