Sonja Shanley Haigler, MD

Experienced with BIOTE since 2015, Sonja Shanley Haigler, MD is a board-certified family physician practicing in Wilmington, NC since 1997. She received her bachelor’s degree from The University of Colorado, her Doctorate from The University of Miami School of Medicine and completed internship and residency at The University of Utah Hospitals. She has fellowship training in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine after attending training in Orlando, Tampa, Boston, Atlanta and Las Vegas. She brings a vast knowledge of integrative medicine to her practice in preventive primary care. Hormone therapies have long been a special interest for Dr. Haigler. Other interests include golf, skiing, hiking, and spending time with her 2 daughters and other loved ones.

Kelli Kelderhouse, FNP-C

Kelli Kelderhouse has been a nurse for 23 years.  She started her career in adult critical care and spent some time traveling to various states as a travel nurse.  In 2008 she returned to NC, and settled In Wilmington.  Knowing that she needed a career change, in 2010 she applied to the Family nurse practitioner program at UNC-W.  After years of nursing in the acute care setting, she was excited to become a provider of primary care, and even better,  preventive medicine.  

She especially enjoys women’s health, and optimizing overall well being. Building rapport with her patients, assisting them with tools for better emotional and physical health, and encouraging  self-care and personal growth is a daily goal.

When she is away from work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 boys, ages 7 and 12.  Living near the ocean, they enjoy time on the water and the beach.  She feels very fortunate that her husband is an excellent cook,  and as a result they have become “foodies.”  They love experimenting with savory, yet healthy recipes.

Katherine S. Mann, FNP-C

Experienced with BIOTE since 2014, Katherine Mann is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner and has lived in Wilmington, NC, since 1985.

She has been in practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner since 1992. Her Master’s Degree in Nursing is from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and she is certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Her interest in wellness and nutrition started in her teens and has become an integral part of her practice. She focuses on the whole person, putting mind, body, and spirit as a focus to her approach to clients. Woman’s Health, Hormone Imbalance, and Thyroid Disease are special interests of hers. She has been prescribing Bioidentical Hormones for the past 20 plus years. Kathy spends her time outside of the office with her 3 children. Her passions are her family, surfing at Wrightsville Beach, yoga, and walking her dog, Rusty, if there are no waves.

Leanne Johnson, NP

Leanne Johnson is a certified Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner.

She began her nursing career in 2001 as Registered Nurse after receiving her Diploma of Nursing from Fanshawe College in London, Ontario and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Victoria, British Columbia. She moved to Wilmington, North Carolina in 2002 and continued her nursing career at New Hanover Regional Medical Center for the next 13 years. In 2015, she received her Master of Science in Nursing from East Carolina University specializing as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner.

Leanne has a professional and personal passion for health and wellness. She has a health coach certificate through Real Balance Global Wellness. Her belief in functional and lifestyle medicine is a reflection of how she lives her own life. She is an avid endurance athlete who has completed numerous marathons, ultramarathons and triathlons. She has completed the Boston Marathon twice and is a 3-time Ironman triathlon finisher.

Her special interests include health promotion and prevention, nutrition as medicine, hormone therapy, gut health, anti-aging, self-care and weight management.
