Daniel M. Ricci, MD is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and has been practicing as a Primary Care Physician in Eastern North Carolina for over 30 years. He graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy. He worked as a pharmacist for three years before returning to Hahnemann University School of Medicine, (now known as Drexel University Medical School), where he received his medical degree in 1983.
Dr. Ricci became interested in Bioidentical Hormone Pellet Therapy after realizing he was not helping his patients achieve optimal health with some aspects of traditional medicine. He believes that just because a patient is aging in years does not mean they should not feel young! His area of interest with hormone pellet therapy is with the prevention and progression of age related illnesses. Dr. Ricci’s medical mission is to work hand in hand with his patients to achieve their optimal health and be the best version of themselves.
MaryAnna has 22-years of nursing experience with an extensive background in Occupational Health and Emergency medicine. As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department she became frustrated with the debilitating consequences of chronic disease. She began reaching out to area Clinicians hoping to find a more effective way to slow the symptoms of aging after she started experiencing them first-hand.
Frustrated with the “pill for every ailment” mentality, she started researching Bioidentical Hormones and was given the opportunity to work for a Family Nurse Practitioner that specialized in optimal thyroid function, food sensitivities, and Bioidentical Hormone replacement. She is a strong advocate for Hormone Pellet therapy due to the change they made in her health. Her medical motto is, “Aging should not be a death sentence and people should be able to feel good and enjoy every stage of life.”
