Julian Rowe, MD

Dr. Rowe was born into a tradition of medicine. Born in Chicago, IL. Dr. Rowe’s grandfather was one of the early African American doctor’s in South Carolina in the 1900s. Continuing the legacy, Dr. Rowe received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of California School of Medicine in San Diego. Dr. Rowe performed his residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He went on to receive his Masters in Public Health in Health Management and Policy from the University of Michigan.

During the seven years before settling his practice in New Mexico, Dr. Rowe spent a time as a Staff Physician at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kaloleni, Kenya, as Medical Director of Medical Camp in Siraha, Nepal, Medical Director at the Community Health Center in Michigan. He joined the Presbyterian Medical Group in Albuquerque in 1998 and has also been in practice in Edgewood, NM for more than 10 years. He has contributed his medical and surgical services as part of healthcare projects in the countries of Zimbabwe, Kenya and Nepal.

Judy Lui, MD

Dr. Lui was born in Taiwan, and received her Doctor of Medicine in 1992 from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency at Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville, KY and has practiced medicine in Albuquerque since 1995, working with Presbyterian Medical Group, and Presbyterian Healthcare Services. Dr. Lui received her Doctor of Oriental Medicine in 2003. Dr. Lui has also contributed her medical services in Kenya and Rwanda. She has more than 18 years of experience working with pediatric inpatient and outpatient medicine.

Deborah Rivera, PA-C

Deborah Rivera, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant in The Doc Spa’s Albuquerque, New Mexico, clinic. She provides patient-focused, family practice care with years of experience and expertise in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine.

Deborah is also dedicated to educating men, women, and children about nutrition and healthy living. For more than 20 years, she has enthusiastically helped women and children get access to nourishing foods and nutrition information by working in administrative and clinical roles for the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program, a federal service offered through New Mexico’s Department of Health.

Deborah obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. At the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois, she earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies.

At The Doc Spa, Deborah believes in treating the whole person. She works with patients of all ages to provide the highest quality, customized integrative healthcare.

Kristina Hammer, MSPAC, DMSc

Dr. Hammer has been working in health care for 16 years with a variety of experience in the areas of urgent/emergent care, obstetrics/gynecology, and with women’s health by assisting in patient care plans, performing procedures, precepting and mentoring students, and providing education on reproductive health. Kristina received Summa Cum Laude honors at the University of New Mexico, UNM, for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. Kristina earned her master’s degree at the UNM School of Medicine””s PA Program in 2013 while being president of the physician assistant student society at UNM. Kristina recently completed her Doctorate in Medical Sciences and graduated the top of the class with a 4.0 GPA and being part of the national honor society Omicron Delta Kappa. Kristina was awarded with the top healthcare provider in Albuquerque by the International Association of Healthcare Professionals (IAHCP). Kristina’s professional affiliations include membership in the American Academy of Physician Assistants, American Society of Clinical Pathology, Association of Physician Assistants in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Association of Reproductive Health Professionals. Kristina enjoys traveling, horseback riding, spending time with her family and learning and embracing other cultures from around the world.
