I was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I was fortunate to have lived overseas in Europe and Saudi Arabia as a child because of my father’s work with the Canadian Telecommunications company. I returned to Canada to complete my University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Dalhousie University. From there I traveled and studied medicine in Guadalajara, Mexico before I completed my medical degree at Ponce School of Medicine, Puerto Rico. My specialty training in Internal Medicine was done at Maricopa County Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona.
I relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada in August of 2006. I finished my third year of Internal Medicine residency at University Medical Center, Las Vegas, Nevada. I am Board certified in Internal Medicine.
I started my internal medicine practice in September of 2007. I enjoy working in the outpatient setting.
Since 2007 I have been interested in bio identical hormone replacement therapy. I have taken extensive courses on the topic and have successfully implemented the use bio-identical therapies in my practice.
My other great interest is in nutrition and food intolerance. Through advanced testing methods patients can be tested for many food intolerance. Elimination of these foods can reduce inflammation in the body. It is this inflammation that can lead to problems of the digestive tract, skin, headaches, fatigue and other chronic conditions.
I am very pleased to be opening a medical spa at my practice. It has been a long term goal of mine to provide patients with medical grade treatments and products to meet their skin care needs.
I hope to have long relationships with my patients and their family members. I take pride in being a good listener, easy to communicate with and who cares about making the patients feel comfortable. I am fluent in both written and spoken Spanish and English.
