Leigh is a board certified family nurse practitioner with clinical experience that includes internal medicine, family practice, community health nursing as well as emergency medicine via telemergency. Barbie Dearman is a Family Nurse Practitioner practicing since 2016. She graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing from Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri in 2016. Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, she worked in several specialties as a Registered Nurse. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama in 2013. She has a nine-year nursing background in areas such as Neurology, Medical-Surgical, Family Practice, Gerontology, Rehabilitation, and Telemetry. In addition to practicing hormone optimization, aesthetic medicine, and medical weight loss at Health Fit M.D. in Gulfport, MS, she currently has her own private practice following the Direct Primary Care model in Hattiesburg, MS. She currently resides in Columbia, MS with her husband and 2 children.
Stephanie Wilson is a Family Nurse Practitioner practicing in Mississippi since 2014. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Western Florida in 2010 and subsequently completed her Masters of Science in Nursing in 2013. She began practicing in Emergency Room Medicine at Hancock Oschner Medical Center in Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi in 2014. Subsequently, she broadened her skills at Southern Family Urgent Care in Gulfport, Mississippi beginning in 2015. She also became an integral part of the Health Fit M.D. Wellness Weight Loss Family in Gulfport in April of 2016. She balances these multiple areas of medicine while excelling in her role as an awesome mother of two and wife.
Kelly Majors has practiced as a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2016. Kelly graduated from Walden University with her Masters of Science in Nursing, passing her boards to become a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
She has Nurse Practitioner experience in medical weight loss and management, hospice, ER, primary care and urgent care. Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner she was an ER nurse for 6 years following 2 years of Medical/Surgical experience. Kelly and her husband have been vacationing on MS Gulf Coast for several years now and fell in love with the all of it. They have finally had the opportunity to relocate to the area in February of 2019 and look forward to experiencing the Gulf Coast as locals. Kelly has a passion for nutrition, cooking and health maintenance.
She is an avid yogi and she and her husband enjoy riding their bikes together.
She is an amateur chef and loves to cook on her off time. Kelly began working at Health Fit MD in February 2019 and plans to continue her knowledge of Functional Medicine, Medical Weight Loss, Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) and medical aesthetics to provide the best care and outcomes possible for our patients.
