Emily Talkington, NP

Emily was born and raised in McDuffie County, and has since returned after her college career at Georgia Southern University. She graduated magna cum laude with her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing in 2013 and began work at the Medical College of Georgia as a Registered Nurse. She worked as a Registered Nurse for four years; however, she had aspired to become a Nurse Practitioner before starting Nursing School. While working, Emily attended South University and obtained her Master’s of Science in Nursing in 2017. The opportunity arose at Family Care Group to practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2017 and she has been a wonderful addition to the medical staff.

We are thrilled Emily is able to practice in her hometown and serve this community.

Emily enjoys spending time with friends, family, and her three spunky dogs. She also enjoys traveling and reading.

She especially loves summertime and adores spending her days off on the lake.
