Thomas Arne, DO

Dr. Tom Arne graduated with his pharmacy degree from Ferris State University in 1981 and his medical degree from Midwestern University in 1986. He completed his internship, a year of surgery residency, his internal medicine residency and a year as Chief Internal Medicine Resident at Sinai Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He finished his training

as a cardiology fellow, as well as being chief fellow, at Lutheran General Hospital/University of Chicago in 1994. After being in private practice in Grand Rapids, Michigan for three years and establishing and directing the congestive heart failure program at Butterworth Hospital, he relocated to sunny Florida in 1997.

His first years here were spent in private practice with Intercoastal Medical Group, where Dr. Arne successfully transitioned the practice from a primary care group to a multispecialty group.

He also established and directed the congestive heart failure program at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. In 2006, Dr. Arne decided to establish his own cardiology practice, Gulfshore Cardiology (now Gulfshore Personalized Care). When he’s not working, he loves to be with his four children. He enjoys exercising. Dr. Arne is truly grateful to the Lord for his patients, his staff and all his blessings.
