Cindy E. Long, MD

Dr. Cindy Long moved to Denver from Seattle and joined The Women””s Health Group in 2000, becoming a partner in 2003. After serving four years as the OB/GYN Department Chair at North Suburban Medical Center, Dr. Long is now focusing on her clinical work with an emphasis on patient care and state-of-the-art, innovative gynecologic surgical procedures. Committed to providing her patients with choices in progressive, proven techniques, Dr. Long has extensive training in minimally invasive surgeries and in-office procedures.

Emily Austin, FNP-C

Emily””s philosophy of wellness is integrated into her patient care as a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. She believes the patient/provider relationship is best developed when working together to achieve optimal health and wellness. Emily received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from Regis University in Denver, Colorado, where she graduated with Honors, Summa Cum Laude. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and has since worked in primary care and urgent care. She is a longtime resident of Colorado and lives Firestone with her husband and children.

Aimee Melton, CNM, DNP

Aimee is a Colorado native, and loves taking care of women. After college, she worked in molecular biology research for a few years before deciding that her passion was working with people. Aimee went back to school for nursing around the time she had children, and discovered the amazing and transformative experience of becoming a mother. She was hooked on birth and decided to continue her education to become a midwife. Aimee has worked with the midwife practices at North Suburban Medical Center, University of Colorado, Swedish Medical Center, Denver Health Medical Center, and Rose. She delivered her own babies at Rose, and it feels like home. She truly loves pregnancy and birth and even carried and delivered a surrogate baby for a friend, also at Rose. There is not one best way to do anything and that holds true for birth. Every woman gets to have her own birth experience and Aimee’s job as a midwife is to help you find your way.
